UGRIC Converter

Conversion tools are currently being developed to allow data transfer to and from common file formats and Ugric

As Java applets do not allow direct i/o streams to the client disks, java applications are being developed. The source code and precompiled copies of an early application can be obtained below. The conversion program presently converts ISISbase rdf files to and from Ugric. Support for File Maker Pro is being installed.

To convert to ugric from ISISbase:

On a PC

Type java converter2 at the MSDOS prompt

You should see something like Figure 1.

Insert the field names used in ISISbase into the relavent Text areas

To convert the rdf file, choose RDF-UGRIC from the pup-up menu under 'Convert'.

Open the relevant rdf file and the corresponding Ugric file will be saved in the same directory with the same name except the .rdf extension will have been replaced by .ugr.

To convert an Ugric file to rdf, follow the same procedure except choose UGRIC-RDF from the 'Convert' menu.
